About Us

Arbour Square offers 150 rental apartments in Harleysville, PA for active, independent seniors looking to downsize and eliminate the challenges of home-ownership or hazards of living alone. The community opened in April of 2006.

The month-to-month lease includes an impressive package of amenities including two meals daily, housekeeping, transportation, interior and exterior maintenance and an abundance of social, recreational and educational events. There are no buy-in or entrance fees.

The Birches at Arbour Square, a personal and memory care community built on the same 22-acre campus, opened in April 2009. In 2011, The Birches At Home opened an office within the community, extending our campus' reach of services into the homes of Harleysville and surrounding area residences. The Arbour Square campus of retirement options assures that the appropriate level of care will be available in the future for residents of Arbour Square.

Arbour Square was developed and is owned by Westrum Development Company. It is managed by Heritage Senior Living, who manages senior living facilities in the mid-Atlantic region, including: Manor at Market Square in Reading, PA; Providence House in Reading, PA; Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown, PA; Traditions of Hershey in Palmyra, PA; Senior Commons at Powder Mill in York, PA; Belle Reve in Milford, PA; Heritage Hill in Weatherly, PA; Cardinal Village in Sewell, NJ; Heritage Green of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA; Heritage Green of Hanover in Mechanicsville, VA; Traditions of Hanover in Bethlehem, PA; and The Birches at Newtown in Newtown, PA.

Some communities have expanded to include Home Care for seniors who wish to remain in their own home but need a little extra help with daily activities. These include Chestnut Knoll At Home in Phoenixville and Gilbertsville; and Traditions of Hanover At Home.
